Site; fēnix 5 series Altimeter issues. Related It appears the altimeter is actually working because when I calibrate it or the barometer manually I can watch it register and update the altitude dynamically. I've factory reset, soaked it for a half hour in warm soapy water, clean it regularly and meticulously, etc. Unit is around one year old. I then did a classic test where you manually calibrate the altimeter to a value off the actual one, start an activity and hopefully auto calibration will adjust the altimeter. Coros worked well. Fenix 7 after 3:30 hours of the watch sitting in the window, with the GPS altimeter showing the correct altitude, never adjusted the barometric altimeter. Wondering if it is a common fault, as after 6 months of having my second Garmin Fenix 5S I am having the following issues: altitude, barometer and temperature all stuck at set altitudes. I have followed Garmin's troubleshooter and clean my watch regularly. Well like the previous poster, I talked to Garmin, and they deduced the barometric sensor was broken. They are doing a RMA for me. They provided a return shipping label and will send a replacement Fenix 5 (hopefully with a working barometric sensor). A bit of a drag since I had it only a month before it failed. Hopefully the new one doesn't fail. fēnix 5 Plus series I am having problems with my altimeter, its always on and it displays an inaccurate, i always re calibrate using the GPS.After a while it gives me a wrong reading again .I sometime get negative altitude levels.. I have a recently purchased a new Fenix 5 plus, I am having major accurate pace information display issues on the watch during runs. On my old Garmin 620, I would normally run between 07.30 to 09.00 min per mile pace This new Fenix 5 plus today showed on the watch while I was running 07.00 to 14.00 min per mile p9OlQp.
